Eclipse 2017August 22, 2017

On Monday, August 21, our area experienced a near-total solar eclipse. Monday was also a staff development day across the District.

The previous Friday, students were given ISO certified viewing glasses so they could safely watch the eclipse from home.  Teachers also exposed students to fun and educational activities about the eclipse.

We live-streamed the eclipse on our Facebook page so that those without viewing glasses or who were stuck indoors could watch the historic event.  So far, more than 22,000 people have seen the eclipse on our Facebook page. Click here to watch.
