Summer Learning Academy featured on WSPA NewsJune 22, 2017

The 2017 edition of the Spartanburg Two Summer Learning Academy was  featured on WSPA news for several hours during their morning newscast on Wednesday. Reporter Christine Scarpelli spoke with teachers and students about the success of the program and all the fun being had in the process during her live reports from Shoally Creek Elementary. Click here to see some of the reports.

Last year, our Summer Learning Academy students improved their MAP Reading test scores by an average of 3 points, the equivalent of 3 months of growth in only 27 days of instruction. SLA students also averaged an 8.5 point rise in their MAP Math scores. That's the equivalent of an entire letter grade.

We are excited to see what gains this year's SLA students will see!
