

Spartanburg School District Two is pleased to announce the
school, district, and Swofford Career Center 2011–12 Teachers of

Patti Hardee was selected by an out-of-district committee of
educators as the district’s Bill Howell Teacher of the Year. The
award carries the name of
the district’s first director of instruction and a District Two
icon because of his legendary devotion to educational excellence
and to the success of the district and its students and
teachers. Mr. Howell retired with 29 years of service, from 1957
to 1986, in Spartanburg Two—as an English teacher, assistant
principal, and director of instruction.

Prior to placement as APs at these schools, Meyer was an assistant principal at Boiling Springs Elementary in Spartanburg Two, Davis was an assistant principal in Pickens County, and Morrison, Cole, and Reese were teachers in Spartanburg Two.
