On Wednesday, February 18, District Two will hold a planned late-start day for students in order to offer teacher professional development in the morning. The same procedure will be followed as when there is a two-hour weather delay, except that schools will provide student supervision for parents who need to drop off their children at the usual time: Buses will run two hours later in the morning, 4K morning classes and pre-K special education morning classes will not meet, and school breakfast will not be served. The school day will end at the usual time. We appreciate your support as we utilize this prime time to focus on teacher techniques and training that will boost the effectiveness of District Two’s EXCEL personalized digital learning initiative, with the goal of maximizing the return on investment for each student.
