Discipline Plan
Each child has a Daily Behavior Sheet that will stay in his folder on his/her clipboard. This will let you know the kind of day he or she had. Please initial this sheet each day and return it to school daily. On Fridays, children that have 5 “good” days will get a special treat.
We expect our students to follow directions, work diligently and show respect for others. In order to guarantee all the students in my classroom, the best-learning environment possible, I will be using the following discipline plan this year.
Our class rules are listed below:
1. Be kind and respectful to everyone.
2. Sit quietly and follow directions.
3. Raise your hand and wait for your turn to speak.
4. Use an inside voice.
5. Keep your hands and feet to yourself.
6. Put things back where they belong.
7. Always Try Your Best!

These rules apply in our classroom as well as other areas of the school. Examples: Walk quietly in the hall, use good manners in the cafeteria and show respect for activity teachers. We use a system of colored stars to monitor behavior. Every student begins the day with a green star. Green means “Keep going, you’re doing the right thing!” If correction is needed, the stars are changed as follows:
Yellow = warning
Orange = 5 minutes of recess and a note home
Red = no recess and a note or phone call home
Purple = principal’s office
We reserve the right to remove any child without warning from the group if he/she is causing danger to him/herself or others. Daily behavior reports will be found in the back of the folder on your child’s clipboard.
Students that follow directions will be rewarded at the discretion of the teacher:
Stickers
