About Our School

• Mayo Elementary School is located in Mayo, South Carolina.
• There are approximately 320 students attending grades K-5.
• School hours are 7:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.
• Office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Our school mascot is the FALCON.
• Our school is proud of our PTO Officers and school volunteers.
• Our school is proud of our young writers.
• Our school colors are red and black.
• Our business partners include Chesnee Communication & McDonalds, Nelson Diecutting & Packaging, R.R. Donnelly and Walmart.
  Our school motto is "Learning and Growing Together".
• Our school is a Title 1 school that meets the federal Annual Yearly Progress required by the No Child Left Behind Act.
• Our school is participating in the 100 Book Challenge.
