DEADLINE FOR EXCUSED ABSENCE DOCUMENTATION

Effective March 15, 2012, parents should send written excuses for a student's absence by the end of the fifth day after the student returns to school.  If no note is received by the end of the fifth day back in school, the absence will be coded as unexcused.

Temporary Catch-up Provision
Written excuses for prior absences will be accepted until the end of the day on
March 15, 2012.

Limit of Ten
Parent-signed notes are accepted for up to ten excused absence days; after the tenth day, only physician-written medical excuses are acceptable.  If the eleventh absence is not medically excused, the absence will be coded as unexcused.
