Log Sheet Procedures

 

 

·        Read at home with your child for a minimum of 15 minutes each night, including weekends and holidays.  Then sign a line for every 15 minutes read.  Until further notice, please only sign one line each night on your child’s logsheet.

·        Go over the skills card with your child at home each week.

·        Your child’s log should be completely filled out and signed each night.  Allow your child to fill in as much of the information as they can.

 

Here is a sample of what a correctly filled in log looks like:

 

Text Box: Your log should be signed each day at school and each night at home.  It is very important not to get behind!!!

 

Text Box: The date should be listed each time your child read at school and at home.

 

Text Box: At the beginning of Kindergarten, every child will be reading Y.  As your child progresses, their level will be listed at the top of their skills card.

 

Text Box: Please list one title from the books your child read.  You will NOT list all titles.  This line represents 15 minutes of reading.
