Message from the Superintendent
Dear
Community,

Thank you for taking the time to visit our web site to
learn more about Spartanburg School District Two.
Interested and concerned citizens are important to the
success of our schools.
Our motto is “Students First.” Instructional, financial,
and all other decisions are based on this premise. Our
focus is on the children we serve and on helping them to
achieve their greatest potential in a safe and
supportive environment.
We are a growing and progressive school district where
faculty, administrators, support staff, and community
work cooperatively under the guidance of a committed
Board of Trustees. This spirit of teamwork has paved the
way for our journey toward excellence.
Our schools have performed well on the state report
cards as well as on other indicators of academic
success. To view school report cards and up-to-date test
results, you may want to visit the SC Department of
Education web site at
www.ed.sc.gov. As standards become increasingly
demanding with each year, Spartanburg District Two is
prepared to meet the challenge. With an added emphasis
on staff development and curriculum, we desire to be a
model district in the areas of instruction and student
academic achievement.
The housing surge in our school district has resulted in
a growing student population, averaging approximately
200 new students per year over the past decade. To
accommodate the growth, new schools have been opened,
and another one is under construction. Several schools
have been updated and enlarged. The district’s
facilities are well maintained, and building plans are
reviewed regularly to ensure that needs are prioritized.
District Two values the support of the community,
students, and staff members. As partners in education,
we will continue to work diligently to provide a
world-class education for our students. |
