Dear BSES Students, Parents and Visitors,
Welcome to the 2010 – 2011 school year! It is with genuine enthusiasm and a love for children and learning that I will serve Boiling Springs Elementary School this year as an assistant principal! BSES has been my “home away from home” for the past nine years where I have served in roles as Literacy Coach and classroom teacher. My prior professional experiences have been in both private and public school settings, teaching grades 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th. No matter where or what grade level, I always made it a top priority to create a caring classroom environment where students felt accepted and safe so that ultimate learning took place.
Our classroom communities at BSES strive to provide that “home away from home” learning experience where individuality and cultural acceptance flourish. We are like the kids depicted in Barbara Pollak’s book Our Community Garden. We come from various backgrounds, but yet we find common ground in which knowledge and friendships grow.
Please know that we are all part of a community that puts our children first and it takes all of us working together for the betterment of our children’s future. Together let’s make it a terrific year! If there is ever a time I can assist you, please do not hesitate to contact me.
