Volunteer Opportunities During the School Day: Book Fair - runs 2 weeks in the fall and spring. Volunteers needed during the school day to help classes shop at the book fair. Each fair has 2 family nights and volunteers are needed from 5:00 - 7:00 pm on those evenings to help people shop.
Santa Shop - held the first 2 weeks of December during the school day and on the Saturday morning in between. Volunteers needed to help children shop and wrap gifts in bags.
Fundraising - needed various times throughout the year to help separate and distribute products when delivered to school.
Read To Me - held during the school day. Volunteers come to the classroom to assist teachers with children that may need extra help in certain subjects. For example, helping a student learn to count money, tell time, multiplication tables, or just reading. Great for those who arrive for carpool early. Park, come in and volunteer and get back to the carpool line before the bell rings!
Test Monitor - held March 16-17 and May 11-14. Volunteers needed to be in 3rd and 4th grade classrooms to help teacher as needed during the administration of the PASS test. Typically volunteers needed from 8:00 - 11:00 am with some variance on the ending time depending on the class.
Ice Cream Sales - held each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11:00 am - 12:45 pm throughout the school year. Volunteers help sell Blue Bell ice cream treats to kids during lunch. (Each item sells for $.50.)
Box Tops - needed several times throughout the year to help organize Box Tops for Education which have been brought in by students and need to be mailed in to receive a rebate check.
Red Ribbon Week ("Just Say No to Drugs") - held the last week of October. Volunteers needed starting early October to prepare ribbons, prizes, contests, etc. Volunteers needed the week of to distribute prizes and help with theme-related activities.

Hospitality/Teacher Appreciation - held several times throughout the year. Volunteers send in goodies as a treat for the teachers. Food is setup in the teacher's lounge for them to enjoy throughout the day. (Great for working parents who are not available to be at school during the day.)

Santa Breakfast - morning of Saturday, December 5. Volunteers needed to help decorate on the 4th and cook and serve breakfast Saturday morning. Also needed to help as kids have pictures made with Santa. (There may be another planning opportunity in the weeks before the actual breakfast also.)
Carnival - held Friday, May 14th to celebrate the end of the school year. Volunteers needed to help man rides and carnival games from 4:00 - 8:00 pm.
